Problem: An importer of handbags thought that their recent shipment of smooth leather bags was contaminated with mold. They sent requested samples to QCI for evaluation. Upon their arrival, it was determined that it was not mold, but that the leather was blooming due to improper finish at the factory of origin.
Solution: The team at QCI was able to remove the impurities from the leather on the handbags (the blooming) with our heat tunnels, proprietary blend of refinishing compounds, and buffing equipment, rendering the handbags shiny and beautiful once again.
